"C'mon, Syra! It's just the bridle. You'll live." Layra Mastrona hissed calmly to her mare, Syra Star. The pain in the rear was more like it. The friesian threw her head up into the air and snorted in discust Yeah, I might live, but my mouth won't. You know I hate that thing She began to toss her head as too tall Layra finally got the bit in her mouth.

"Be gentle, that could hurt. You know that." Layra said calmly patting Syra's smooth black shoulder and giving a reassuring smile. The mare finally settled as Desert's head poked out over his stall Geez, Syra. You're acting worse than normal. Congrats. he nickered sarcasticly than returning to his feed. Syra grunted ignoring the huge gelding. He acted so smart, and was that goody-goody horse that everyone loved. If only the poor people knew how he really acted, especially around a mare like her. Layra pulled the reins over her head and Syra finally gave up on the fight and allowed Layra to bridle her.

"We're going to the lake if you like it or not." Layra shook her head and swung her leg over Syra's back and around her barrel.
Good, now I can get you wet if you like it or not... Syra chuckled moving into a slow canter plotting her revenge on being bridled.

The lake trail. Lots of people went there, right? So...That meant she was bound to meet someone here, hopefuly near the begining of the trail. All that needing a riding buddy, yaddi yaddi yada. Unfourtunatly, Layra didn't really know anybody, yet. Sure she would walk around and see sometime with the occasional "Hi." or, "How was your day?" bla bla bla. No one really wanted to talk to the new girl. Was it because she traveld half way around the world to get here> Did they find her intimidating with the way she controled her horses?

Please...PLEASE let me make at least one friend today.[/]i she thought staring at the now sblue sky that was dotted with white, fluffy clouds. Syra slowed to a walk with a content blow. [i]I hope there's some stallions here. I'm sick and tired of that nagging gelding. she said aloud, but still knowing that Layra couldn't understand her even if she tried. Well, there was body language, but how was Syra supposed to know how to show LAyra she wanted to meet a stallion?
